Places available on all further education courses in GCC

School leavers and mature students who are considering Galway Community College as their further education destination in September 2019 can apply and register online now on all QQI accredited courses. GCC's courses offer a mix of practical and portfolio work and work experience. They are designed as a step towards skilled employment or progression to higher education institutes. There are no CAO points required for further education courses, and after completion you can apply for more than 1,200 CAO courses that will accept a QQI award for progression purposes.

Mayo students to take part in Washington Ireland Program

Two Mayo students, Tara Mellet and Lisa Marie O’Malley, are about to embark on a summer adventure of a lifetime to the United States, but rather than a J1 summer break they have been selected to take part in the prestigious Washington Ireland Program (WIP) an internationally recognised competitive programme that selects young people with recognised leadership skills and a commitment to service to undertake an eight week internship in the political sector in Washington DC. Both Tara and Lisa will depart for the US capital early next month.
